Ask Our Readers: Uranus Stationing Heebie Jeebies

Uranus is at a virtual standstill preparing to go direct on December 1, 2009 at 22° 42′ Pisces and if you have a planet or Angle between 21° and 23° as I do, you may be feeling jangled and twitchy.

When calm did not return after an intense New Moon on Monday, I started checking and realized Uranus was the culprit because it is exactly trine my natal Mercury triggering a natal Mercury-Uranus inconjunct.

Uranus often has the most immediate impact of all the outer planets by transit because of its electrical, dynamic nature. If it forms aspects to your personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars) or your chart Angles (Ascendant, Nadir, Descendant and Midheaven), you will be particularly sensitive to its transits over those degree points.

Anyone else experiencing the Uranus affect by transit?

Heebie Jeebies! Ha ha ha… Yeah, a couple of folks are giving me just that.

Lots of reality to deal with, but I’ve been feeling a lot of good energy coming in, too. Thanks for the heads-up!

It’s been hard to tell, to be honest. But I read somewhere that the nodes just moved from Cancer/Cap to Gem/Sag. Maybe you and Pat could do an entry on this? I have not seen any mention of it elsewhere but it seems kind of significant. I wonder if I dreamed it?

    Hey inishglora,

Nooooo, the Nodes will be in Cancer-Capricorn until February 2011. It hasn’t been that long since they moved from Leo-Aquarius into Cancer-Cappy in September 2009. :-)

Thanks for this reminder. Definitely feeling jangled. I have trUranus in my 4th, still quite near my IC. And with Saturn in the 10th, they are adding up to issues with … bleah … parental expectations. Amazing how being in my late 30s, and 5000 miles away from my folks still never quite frees me from them… May post something on my blog about this soon.

Oh I see what might have happened. The author of the article on the node change is talking about Vedic astrology. I know nothing about it and assumed it was the same thing…

Ah! I wasn’t aware of the node stuff. Around when in September did the shift into Cancer-Capricorn happen? Because this seems to coincide with some interesting energy shifts I’ve experienced this Fall. I feel like a whole new person. There are some matters that bother me, but not nearly as much as before…

Uh, good luck with the Uranus situation, Neith. It’ll pass. Keep busy and turn up the music!

Welp. I’m having Uranus oppo Pluto – but this pass never made it back to the opposition. I’m also having the trine to the sun, which, near as I can tell, is absolutely no help, excepting I expect Uranus in 5th effects all the time, so people flaking out doesn’t really phase me.

I’ve gotten surprises, but they aren’t important surprises, if that makes sense. I had a possible odd emerge yesterday, and now I’m thinking, oh, well, guess I should’ve seen that.

    Hi Jilly,

I recall my Uranus op Uranus transit vividly because Uranus relocated me 1,500 miles away . . . then back again.

It’s the transit where men are inclined to go out and buy red sports cars. LOL

    Hey deb,

The Nodes went from 0 Aquarius-Leo to 29 Capricorn-Cancer on August 22. In September they moved from 29 to 27 degrees – takes them about a year & a half to transverse a sign.

    Hey hon!

Those a person can live with. It’s the other kind that kick one’s butt.

I’m too busy waiting for the other axes to fall; Saturn over Uranus, Saturn over Venus (not there this pass but close), Saturn oppo Saturn, uh, something bad, something bad, oh! Uranus over Chiron, Pluto over the progressed sun (not for awhile), Pluto square Venus and Saturn, uh, Progressed moon still in Scorpio (but leaving soon!) and so on. Heh. I forgot Neptune! And Jupiter and Chiron, all square the sun. And Neptune.

Yeah, I’ve had my bell rung so many times, I can’t hear anything anymore.

After thinking about it all day, I realized I have been sorta hyper-kinetic and a little jumpy this month. Aha. That’s actually PLEASANT, compared to the other stuff.

LOL! Neptune squaring my Mars & ASC in particular kept dragging my energy levels down. So between the two [Uranus & Neptune] I’m either buzzing or flattened. Libra side HATES to be running so fast from one side of her teeter totter to the other. :::pout:::

Dang Neptune transits fall off my radar screen faster than any other.
