Oct. 4, 2006 – WikiLeaks.org was registered. This happened at a time when Jupiter and Saturn were forming a square aspect in the sky; the finance-political disaster that is currently holding the globe in its grip was already brewing and, unbeknown to most, about to enter the next stage.

Transiting Jupiter had just crossed Assange’s Ascendant – for him, it was a time to expand and to “come out.” Meanwhile, transiting Saturn was traversing Assange’s tenth house, indicating a time to assume some kind of leadership and to take on great public responsibility. Unfortunately, Saturn in the tenth house can also indicate “falling from a great height.”

Dec. 4, 2007 – WikiLeaks published material pertaining to Guantanamo Bay, the U.S. prison colony that President Obama still hasn’t shut down. I believe the actual information was gathered a few days earlier, when messenger planet Mercury was passing over Assange’s Jupiter/Neptune conjunction. However, on the day itself, shape-giving Moon was crossing his rebellious Uranus, wanting to effect social change, while Assange’s fourth-house Mars, the “chip on his shoulder,” was activated by compassionate Neptune, inducing him to “do the sneaky thing.”

Sept. 16, 2008 – WikiLeaks exposed Sarah Palin as violating U.S public record laws by doing official business from a private email address. Two days later, a membership list of the extreme right-wing British National Party was published, containing 13,500 names. Transiting Jupiter was forming an easy-flowing trine with Saturn in the sky and had just started to exert its expansive influence on Assange’s third house of communication.

Oct. 15, 2009 – The Minton Report was published. It revealed how waste dumps from Western countries are poisoning African water resources with dangerous sulphur compounds. At this time, messenger Mercury was activating Assange’s rebellious Uranus and his news-sharing Sun. Meanwhile, expansive Jupiter had reached Assange’s North Node, a point of destiny. He probably felt he simply had to share this information!

A month later, there were 1,000 emails from climate research scientists, revealing how they were using little tricks in trying to convince the world that there is a man-made climate change going on. (The Rothchilds are currently making a lot of money from this notion.) The Sun, representing Assange’s public image, career and success, was conjunct his first-house Jupiter, while transiting Jupiter was now affecting both his North Node and Mars. Again, he likely felt compelled to share the information, in a bid to enlighten mankind by exposing those who are seriously misleading the masses in the name of neutral science. Interestingly, this time Venus was involved as well, conjuncting his secretive Scorpio Moon. Remember Assange’s natal Gemini Venus in the eighth house? This area, like the sign of Scorpio, is associated with scientific research!

April 5, 2010 – Video footage from 2007 was published, showing innocent Iraqi civilians and two Reuter journalists being shot dead from a US Apache helicopter. Photographic images belong to the realm of Neptune, which was forming an active connection to Assange’s Jupiter at the time. Meanwhile, transiting Mars was sitting on his Midheaven, so it’s no wonder Assange gave us images of a war crime. In the heavens, there was still an opposition between Saturn and Uranus going on, affecting all of us somehow, and indicating that the rift between the conservative powers that be (Saturn) and free-spirited, innovative forces of progress (Uranus) was getting wider. On the day of publication this was highlighted by an explosive Moon/Pluto conjunction in karmic Capricorn. Where the public are concerned Assange certainly seems to pick his moments. A lot of people, who until then had been watching the Iraq war like a soccer match that was happening far away from home, may have changed their minds about its justifiability on account of these revelations.

July 26, 2010 – This trend was continued with the publication of the Afghan War Log Files. Saturn/Mars and Uranus/Jupiter were opposing each other on the highly potent equinox axis (0 degrees Libra/Aries) and all four of them were heated up by Pluto, the planet of extremes. Globally, we were (and still are) in the middle of natural and man-made disasters unfolding. To many people the revelation of yet more injustices, this time committed by allied troops in the name of freedom, may have been just one more unsettling bit of news; to others, it may have been the end of their world. This also was the day of a Full Moon that stretched across Assange’s MC/IC axis. Again, he must have felt compelled to publish these news (Sun/MC), to further a cause that is close to his heart (IC), namely to enlighten the masses (Moon). Simultaneously, this Full Moon indicated the end of a publishing cycle, any more revelations on this particular subject would have been over the top.

Aug. 20, 2010 – Swedish authorities issued a warrant to arrest Assange on allegations of rape, but the warrant was cancelled the following day for lack of evidence. Assange had applied for residency in Sweden in view of the country’s protective legislation regarding whistle blowers. During the days that he allegedly forced himself on two Swedish women, Venus and Mars were moving across his natal Uranus, indicating the possibility of sudden and short-lived affairs, as well as a compelling drive towards unusual sexual practices. The Sun was traversing his tenth house and opposing his natal Mars: riding on his prominent social status as main speaker at a conference on media and war, his ego was pumped up, and he likely felt unusually strong physical urges as well.

Nov. 18, 2010 – Following a lawyer’s appeal, the rape case was re-opened, with an international arrest warrant following on November 20. On that day, the Sun, Assange’s “public status planet,” shed its light on his natal Jupiter, the planet of international affairs and ruler of his fifth house of romantic involvements.

Nov. 28, 2010 – WikiLeaks published 250,000 cables sent to and from U.S. embassies all over the world. Assange’s chart tells us that he had been sitting on this information for a length of time. Relevant transits, that would indicate yet another bout of the compelling urge to share bad news with the world, had taken place as far back as late September and early October, when Sun, Mercury and Saturn activated Assange’s genial but very uncomfortable and almost compulsively rebellious Sun/Uranus combination. Saturn’s influence may have made him consider the consequences for once. Going through various possible scenarios, he must have realized that he would create a lot of enmity against himself and his affiliates among a large group of very powerful people. During October, these three planets were moving through Assange’s twelfth house, indicating a time of reflection and of hatching new plans. Even fear of the storm he would unleash may have played its part for a while.

Dec. 8, 2010 – Assange turns himself in to authorities in London. The Moon was opposed to his natal Sun on that day, suggesting fleeting depression.

Feb. 7-8, 2011 An extradition hearing is scheduled to take place on these two days. Saturn is traversing Assange’s twelfth house of “secret enemies.”
