Weekly Forecast March 7: Uranus Enters Aries

The past three days have been a blur. A lot is happening, and it seems as though it’s not in chronological order – like reading an article on the Internet and clicking on links to other places. Everything’s connected, but trying to experience it all at once makes your head spin.

“Everything’s connected” is a very Piscean message, and feeling that connection is a very Piscean experience. More and more people are getting it, and it is changing the energy of the planet. We finally are starting to understand that we live in a participatory universe. Our interaction with the cosmos is a continual cycle of uploading and downloading. It’s no accident that the Internet evolved as it did. It simply mirrors larger energy patterns, what some call the “mind of God.”

Uranus, the Great Awakener, has been sitting at 29 degrees Pisces since February 22 – about two weeks – with several other planets in Pisces, as well as last Friday’s New Moon. Many people I know are feeling the odd effects of this energy, which we’ve experienced as a whirlwind. Old patterns are dissolving. As one friend put it, it feels as though we’re about to step off of one stage and onto a new one. The thing to remember is that we do have a say in what role we play on that new stage.

For Catholics, this week is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of a period of fasting and sacrifice. While I don’t believe that we’re all born in sin and need a savior to redeem us, there is a lot within the symbolism of the Catholic church that can be understood on an esoteric level. The soul’s incarnation into a physical body does place some constraints on us until we awaken to the reality that we are not separate from the energetic origins of all creation. “Christ consciousness” is a way of describing awareness of our connection with this energy source. When we allow this energy to flow through us unimpeded, we become “enlightened,” illuminated with Love.

That is what “redeems” us, and if some people aren’t able to understand the abstracts, then the metaphor of a living Jesus isn’t a bad thing. Where we get into trouble is making it into an organized religion that dictates how people should think and act, with the main beneficiaries being the church hierarchy and associated governments.

Once Uranus moves firmly into Aries territory, we’ll see people rebelling not only against corrupt and repressive governments but also against corrupt and repressive religious systems that serve only to keep people blind to their true nature– and therefore their true power – as sparks of divine energy.

The danger of Uranus in Aries is that people will rebel just for the sake of rebellion, without knowing what they want in place of the repressive regimes they’re overthrowing. There can’t be democracy where significant numbers of people aren’t awakened to their higher nature. With Uranus approaching a long square to Pluto in Capricorn, even enlightened people will have to fight extremely hard for real change, as we can be sure that the powers that be will resist with all their might. That will include police and military force.

Uranus enters Aries on Friday this week. Meanwhile, Mercury conjoins Uranus on Wednesday and enters Aries less than two hours later. Mercury and Uranus have a natural affinity, both being associated with air signs, thought, and intellect. I won’t be surprised to see “Uranus in Aries” events happening from Wednesday onward, as Mercury announces the coming of his “higher vibration.”

On Saturday, the Moon enters Cancer and squares both Uranus and Mercury, while Mercury squares Pluto. The Moon will continue moving through cardinal T-square degrees on Monday, March 14, starting next week on a fast, high-energy current. Again, we can expect to revisit events from last summer’s cardinal T-square, only this time we’re prepared to truly move ahead into the unknown.

The only other major aspect this week is a lucky, sweet sextile from Venus in Aquarius to Jupiter in Aries on Thursday. My gut feeling is that this is more about money and financial issues than love, but it depends on where they are in your chart. For example, if you have Venus in the fifth house and Jupiter in the seventh, it could be wonderful for advancing a committed partnership.

Next week, we begin ramping up for the first of two major cardinal T-square periods in 2011. The whirlwind is only going to spin faster, so hang on and do your best not to fly apart.

Wishing you all much love and courage,
Aquarius, the sign of astrologyPat

Just wanted to mention that significant prequakes started in Japan on March 9. This is from the USGS:

“The March 11 earthquake was preceded by a series of large foreshocks over the previous two days, beginning on March 9th with an M 7.2 event approximately 40 km from the March 11 earthquake, and continuing with a further 3 earthquakes greater than M 6 on the same day.”

The time of the M7.2 event was 11:45am local time. Both these earthquakes charts bear striking similarities to the Tunguska event! (as far as a novice can see)

Kia, I don’t see the resemblance, but I’m always curious to know how others perceive the charts, as we all tend to focus on different aspects. What did you think was similar?
