Real Astrologer’s Poll: Ready for Mars Rx Season?

This Sunday Mars stations retrograde at 20° Leo, effectively slowing action to a crawl for most of us. We’ll feel it all the more, since only a few hours later, the Moon in Aquarius (sign of the collective) will oppose Mars.

For those of us with our natal Mars in the fixed signs – Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius – this celestial event likely will be quite evident, for better or worse. Oddly enough, even though Mars has been squaring my natal Mars in Scorpio for the past week or so, I am not feeling noticeably testier or more tired than usual. I am attributing this to the fact Mars is my chart ruler and deliberate is my usual pace.

In this week’s poll, we’d like to know whether you’re feeling any effects of Mars retrograde. If you’ve got any antidotes, leave a comment and let us know. We’re all in this together!

I also have tUranus exactly trine my Mercury, triggering my natal Mars-Uranus inconjunct to balance out Mars slowing down with the occasional jolt of Uranus energy.

That and I am using my SADD light in the mornings now and the extra light going directly to the brain, kicks it up.

Definitely need more light here, too. More than a month ago, I ordered several full-spectrum bulbs for my overhead fixtures and still haven’t received them. I called the company last Friday and was told that UPS said I had refused the delivery … at 9:45 p.m.! Turns out they’d shattered the contents and had to return the box to the warehouse on the East Coast. New shipment went out on Monday, with many apologies (Verilux has very nice customer service), but dang, I NEED THOSE LIGHTS NOW!

So Mercury and Mars both in pre-retrograde shadow has really screwed up my energy level. Not to mention that Mars is opposed to my Sun, a sure-fire energy drain.

Back to my holiday to-do list…

Looking forward to it, actually. Deliberate suits my natal Mars in Taurus. Plus I’ll be happy with it moving back off my Ascendant/Moon and coming down from the jumpy energy. Need to spend some good planning/plotting time…

I’m definitely feeling the holiday spirit a little more than last week. That’s a significant improvement.

On the flip side, yeah, I’m one of the folks carrying a “Cross at Your Own Risk” sign. Sorry to be a pooper, but I’m kinda sick of the injustices I continue to witness and refuse to become a part of any of it. Sometimes I feel like I’m alone in my thinking and reasoning and it’s a little frustrating, ya’ know? But I’m not gonna let that keep me from taking some writing risks and putting a few dosages of reality out there for the world to see and deal with, already. Someone has to say something, right?

Oh, and yes, I’ve put up new string lights in our apartment. We keep ’em up year-round ’cause they make us happy :).

LOL! I can understand why having Mars back off your Moon-ASC would be a relief. When it comes back across it will be moving at it’s usual rate of a degree every couple of days and be good for an energy boost.

With your Sagittarius rising and Jupiter in your ninth house, it is almost a given you will take writing risks and the rest of us will benefit from them. All I can say is “Go for it!!”

I have done that in the past and this year I have a string of red & green lights around my dining room windows and more around the doorways into the living room. I just love lots of lights in the winter. Used to burn candles but as much as I like them, one ends up with a film of smoke on the ceilings.
